Winter Lodges

Cascade Pacific Council operates two lodges on the slopes of Mount Hood. These lodges are operated for Scout use each weekend, December through March.  Each weekend date is assigned to an age group (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing, etc) to keep the tubing hills safe and everyone smiling.  All reservations are made online - units that participate in a Winter Lodge Service Day will get access to the reservation system early as well as a discount.  On October 3rd links will be available for reservation for Boy Scout unit reservations.  On October 31 when the registration is open to everyone this page will contain links for all scheduled Winter Lodge unit activities. 

When making a reservation, it is important that you use your unit's Tentaroo account and not a personal one.  If you are a unit from the Cascade Pacific Council, you already have an account that was created for you. If you do not know you login credentials, please request that they be sent to you.

This year we have changed the Cub Scout Snow Days into Cub Scout Family Snow days. This means that Packs can invite other Cub Scout aged family members to come to the lodge for the day as well! 

 

 

Parking during the winter months requires a Sno Park Permit.

Lodge Service Days

Lodge Service Days are opportunities for your units to earn discounts for Winter Lodge Weekends as well as early access to the reservation system to ensure space for your preferred weekend. Woodcuts occur at both lodges on the second weekend of September and the Lodge Clean-up Happens at both lodges on the second weekend of October. To sign your unit up for any of these service days, please select the corresponding link below. ?


Non Winter Reservations

Both Lodges are available for rental April through mid-November. Reservations and tour permits are required. For use during colder months, a volunteer Lodge Host provided by the council will need to be on duty. Reservations during colder months will depend on Lodge Host availablity.  Lodges each have several bunkrooms, bathrooms an at least one full size kitchen.

Beginning in the Fall of 2015, all non-Summer reservations will be managed using the new Tentaroo reservation system.  If you are making a reservation as part of a Scouting unit, it is important that you use your unit's Tentaroo account and not a personal one.  If you are a unit from the Cascade Pacific Council, you already have an account that was created for you.  If you do not know you login credentials, please CLICK HERE to request them be sent to you.  For step-by-step directions on using the Tentaroo system to make your group's reservation, please click on the video on the right. For any use by a group other than a Scout-chartered pack, troop, team, crew, ship, or post:  Please begin by contacting Juliana Helwig (503.226.3423 or juliana.helwig@scouting.org) to inquire about open dates, facilities, and fees. All facilities carry a rental charge.

Guest groups are required to provide a deposit, certificate of insurance, hold-harmless agreement and rental contract.  Details about these forms will be provided by Juliana as part of the reservation process.
