Willamette: Order of the Arrow

For over 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long term resident camping, and providing cheerful service to others. OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America's youth.

Many years ago our Chapter merged with Jefferson Chapter and became Lamount'n Itswoot, the Mountain with the Black Bear.  We are well known for our colorful teepees and regalia.   We support our District through service and planning for Camporee, Klondike Derby, Webelos Woods and other service projects.

Currently we have a ceremonies team to perform Pre-ordeal, Ordeal and Brotherhood ceremonies.  If you would like to join the ceremonies team please show up at our next chapter meeting or contact our Adviser B.J. Kirk at bjkirk6233@gmail.com

All OA members are encouraged to attend our chapter meetings which take place on the second Thursday of each month, from 7:00 - 8:30 at 862 45th Ave NE Salem.
