Swimming Merit Badge Event

Time: 3:00PM to 5:30PM

*The Stenehjem Fitness Center is on the north side of campus on the south side of McLoughlin Blvd.  We will have a lifeguard present for the swims.

Cost: $9.00 per scout. This event will allow a maximum of 75 participants to ensure each participant has time to work on the swim test and merit badge.

Refund Policy
All Reservations are nonrefundable.

Eligible scouts:
•    Scouts who need the BSA Swim Test for Second and First Class advancement;
•    Scouts who passed the swim test and want to work on the Swimming Merit Badge. Most
     scouts who can already swim and pay attention to directions can complete the Trail to
     First Class requirements and earn the merit badge.

Scouts who already earned the Swimming Merit Badge should not plan to attend unless they simply need to take the BSA swim test for other reasons.

Each scout MUST bring:

  • BSA Medical Form Parts A and B (will serve as parental/guardian permission)
  • Filled-out blue Merit Badge card (with readable address)
  • Swim suit
  • Towel
  • Change of clothes
Each unit should bring an addressed and stamped envelope with the unit leader’s name and address to the event.  Write the unit type and number inside the flap (example: Troop 999).  Other blue cards will be distributed to the Districts for return at Roundtable.
Medical forms will be shredded after the event unless you make other arrangements with the event organizers.
