Summer Camp Staff

Cascade Pacific Council hires 300 enthusiastic camp counselors annually to serve as handicraft assistants, sports instructors, shooting sports assistants (archery, .22 caliber rifle, BB gun, skeet and black-powder), trading post operators/managers, maintenance and food service assistants, nature instructors and Scout skills instructors, lifeguards and horse wranglers. These staff members serve at ten day and resident camps throughout Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Age 14 may serve in volunteer 'Staff in Training' roles at day camps.
Age 15 may serve in volunteer 'Staff in Training' roles at resident camps.
Age 15 and older may serve as paid staff members at day camps.
Age 16 and older may serve as paid staff members at resident camps.

How to Apply

Interviews are held the first weekend in February.  See information about the 2018 interviews below.  The Camp Staff Info Flyer found on the bottom of the page, includes details on interviews, with times and maps.  Soon, at the bottom of the page you will find a camp staff application for download.  Please download and complete this application prior to your arrival.  If you are unable to attend the interviews, please download and mail in your application - we'll deliver it to the camp of your choice.
