NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP OFFERED BY THE SILVER BEAVER ASSOCIATION

The Silver Beaver Association is a council fellowship of recipients of the Silver Beaver Award with a variety of aims which include social interaction among members, providing support for Scouting activities, and otherwise enhance Scouting programs. The Silver Beaver Association is in support of the National Youth Leadership Training Program, which is operated by the Cascade Pacific Council and is offering two (2) scholarships for qualified Boy Scouts in the Cascade Pacific Council.

Who may apply?

In order to attend an NYLT course, a youth must have the following qualifications by the beginning of the course:
• Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts must be 13 years of age and fall within the maximum age allowance for their program registration. They must be a First Class Scout and have completed Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops. They need to be individuals who are self-motivated and who would like to become an Eagle Scout. The Scout must live the Scout Oath and Law.
• Venturers must be at least 14 and fall within the maximum age allowance for their program. They must have completed Crew Officer Orientation and Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews.
• Have a unit leader recommendation.
