The winter lodge season for 2008-2009 is over, with exception of a few dates at Phlox through mid-April (see below).

Lodge dates for the 2009-2010 season will be available in September.

Please plan to participate in the Wood Cut and/or Clean-Up dates:

Wood Cut (for troops, teams, crews, posts): September 19, 2009

Clean-Up (for adults in Cub Scout packs): October 10, 2009

Volunteers Needed!
The winter lodge program can only exist through the service of Winter Lodge Directors who each serve one or two weekends each winter as host at a lodge. Lodge Directors care for the building, turning on water, power, and gas utilities, and shutting them off to prevent freezing when the weekend is over.

Lodge directors are provided a small stipend to help with fuel costs, and have opportunity to sign up their own troop or pack early for preferred dates.

New lodge directors serve an 'apprentice' year to learn the details of each lodge before hosting weekends on their own.

Lodges are open unless ODOT closes the highway with no alternate routes, resulting in no access to the lodge. ODOT notices are posted at www.tripcheck.com. Please BE PREPARED for winter driving by visiting www.tripcheck.com for road conditions, and prepare accordingly.
