The overall objective of Wood Badge training is leadership development.

Wood Badge has several specific objectives:

• Understand and learn to apply the leadership skills to your Scouting position.
• Understand how all of the parts of the programs of Scouting (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting and Venturing) work together.
• Enjoy the spirit and camaraderie of a Wood Badge experience.
• Encourage a recommitment to Scouting.
• And of course, since Scouting is a game with a purpose, expect to have a lot of fun!
