Welcome to Scouting!

Scouting offers a great chance for adults to work with youth as role models, and to impact a new generation.  Every adult can use some help as a role model, and Every Youth Deserves a Trained Leader.   Every adult involved in Scouting should be trained.  Here are the simple steps:

The new leader begins with a short self-paced introduction (known as Fast Start) to familiarize him/herself with Scouting terms.

Then he/she participates in two courses (New Leader Essentials and Leader Specific Training), often on the same day, which share basic information about Scouting in general and about the position that they will be volunteering in within their unit.

Supplemental courses can come later...once you've completed the steps through Leader Specific Training you're considered Trained!

Let's begin!  When you click START below you'll be taken to a page where you can select the position for which you have volunteered, and then to a page showing the specific steps you will need to complete to become 'Trained' in that position.
