No Program is "set for life" - it is the nature of a unit to move through cycles -we all grow and need to move onto bigger challenges.
And, as such - each unit should have a new member recruitment plan as part of it's yearly program to replace those who move on to other endeavors.
What's your unit's plan?
Does your unit conduct "Join Nights"? Your unit makes arrangements with a School, Church, or other Community Organization to advertise to their "members" and hold an informational gathering at their location to provide information about Scouting and what your unit has to offer families.
Does your unit hold "Open Houses"? Your unit designates 1 (or more) meetings (or campouts) each year to invite new perspecitve members and focus activities on educating perspective new members on the benefits of scouting.
Does your unit reach out to other units? IE. If you are a Crew - do you reach out to Troops? If you are a Troop - do you reach out to Packs?
Does your unit encourage your youth to extend a personal invite to a friend? If not, be sure you are reminding them to share what they do in scouting with their friends.
