Thunderbird District serves approximately 1,300 youth and is served by the support and dedication of over 700 adult volunteers.
Our primary focus is in these school districts, east of I-205:
Providing our quality program to these young men and women would not be possible if it was not for the support and dedication of over 700 adult volunteers of the Thunderbird District. Thank you to each and every one of you for your commitment to creating strong leaders and a better tomorrow.
.....it is once again that time of year to recognize those special scouters and units:

......that Mandatory Leader Training Begins in 2015?
A resolution of the council executive board has begun a multi-staged process to making position specific training required to be a registered leader. In the late fall of 2015, ALL Cub Scout Den Leaders, Tiger Den Leaders, Webelos Den Leaders and Cubmasters will be required to be trained in their position in order to complete their Charter renewal for the 2016 year. Every youth deserves to have a trained leader and better yet, every leader deserves to be surrounded by leaders who are as informed as them.
Check out our Adult Training Page for helpful information on getting your unit leaders (and yourself) trained and/or further trained.
.....that myscouting.org has been evolving?
Well it has. If you haven't visited lately, take some time to login and poke around.
Don't have a login? Create one. Be sure you add your member ID to your profile. Need your member ID? Chat with your Committee Chair or Scoutmaster or the Adult in your unit who holds the membership list.
In myscouting you can take online trainings, complete tour plans (mandatory anytime your unit is traveling out of town), update your information, and much much more. And, Unit Committee chairs and Top Leaders can now update training status of those in their units.
.....the Thunderbird District has been working to revitalize our Unit Commissioner staff and that as of Dec. 2013 all Packs were assigned a Unit Commissioner?
Visit our Commissioners' Corner page to find out what a Unit Commissioner does, who you should contact if you don't know who your Pack's Unit Commission is, and/or how you can volunteer to be a Unit Commissioner to a unit which currently doesn't have a Unit Commissioner.
.....we are making efforts to provide timely and relevant information within our website and in order to do that - we need your feedback.
Do you happen to be the District's resident expert on a certain topic? Please review the page(s) related to that topic.
Are you in charge of an upcoming event and want the details posted to the home page?
Are you looking for information however can't find it?
Please feel free to reach out to me with your content and/or questions either via email or in person at a District Roundtable Meeting so I can strive to keep our pages relevant and timely.
