Venturing Program Forum

The Venturing Program Forum provides training, information and motivation to adult leaders and crew officers through a monthly session at the district roundtable. The program forum is open to all adult and youth members throughout the council.

The Sunset Trail district roundtable begins at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month with a brief session of general announcements, awards, and information, then breaks into four sessions—Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Order of the Arrow, and Venturing—for further training and instruction specific to each program.

The Venturing Program Forum lasts approximately 1 hour, with four major segments:

• Announcements—items of interest from National, Council, and District relevant to Venturing
• How-to—Selected topics relevant to crew administration/operations
• Activity—An initiative game or other activity that you can use at a crew event/outings or as an activity before/after meetings
• Program Feature—Selected consultants from around the Northwest will present a topic of interest to Venturing units and hold a brief Q & A session
