2013 Cub Scout Fishing Derby, June 22, 2013All Cub Scouts are invited to join us at Horning's Hideout! They will be able to earn the Fishing Belt Loop during this event.
When: Saturday, June 22nd
Times: Show up anytime between 10am - 1pm for belt loop sign-off. General site hours are 8am - dusk.
Costs: Park entrance fee: $4. Entrance fee includes one pole and bait. Fishing is charged per pound before they are cleaned at: $5.50 per pound for fish under 2lbs. For fish over 2lbs, the price is $6.50 per pound. Most fish weigh between 1/2 and 1 pound each, but can be upwards of 2 pounds. Catch and release is not permitted. Fishing licenses are not needed.
Directions to Horning’s Hideout: From Portland take Highway 26 west approximately 15 miles to the North Plains/Glencoe Road Exit 57. Turn right (North) from the exit onto Glencoe Road. Take Glencoe Rd. approximately 1.5 miles to a left fork that is Pumpkin Ridge Road. Follow Pumpkin Ridge Rd. for 5 miles to Brunswick Canyon Road, which is an easy to miss gravel road on the right.
Follow Brunswick Canyon Road down, into the canyon until you arrive at Horning’s Hideout. |
