GENERAL EVENTS

2013 National Jamboree Leader Application

The Cascade Pacific Council will be sending hundreds of scouts to the 2013 National Jamboree. We need adults to help lead our boys on this aventure. During the two week trip, scouts and their leaders will tour the Washington D.C. area for one week and camp at The Summit, the new National High Adventure base, for another week. 2013 National Jamboree Youth Application

The National Scout Jamboree is a gathering, or jamboree, of thousands of members of the Boy Scouts of America, usually held every four years and organized by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The Cascade Pacific Council Jamboree contingent will leave Portland, OR around July 10, 2013 and fly to Washington, D.C. We will visit such places as Arlington Cemetery, the Capitol, various monuments, the Smithsonian Institute, Gettysburg, Colonial Williamsburg and many other sites. Read More

 

Adventure Trek 2012

Come Bike, Hike, Raft, and Canoe as part of an Adventure Race held in the Oregon High Desert Teams of 4 to 6 people will participate in fun, exciting, competitive events. Venturing age youth 14 though 20 are eligible (includes Boy Scouts & Varsity in this age group). Click to register (7/30/12)

 

COPE Activity Days

Bring your troop, team, crew, post, or other group out to the COPE course at Scouters' Mountain for a full day of teambuilding and personal development. COPE is a popular, fun, and challenging way to get a group synergizing together; it's great for troop patrol leader councils, troop adult leader teams, and any other small group (up to 30) that wants to learn to work better as a team. Saturdays and Sundays every other weekend from June through October are available.  CLICK FOR MORE INFO AND TO REGISTER

Fireworks viewing from Sea Scout vessel
There is no better way to view the Fort Vancouver Fireworks than from the deck of the M/V Reliant. This is an activity that you'll remember fondly, and will want to do again year after year.  This is a Fundraiser to Support the Sea Scout Program and the maintenance of the the M/V Reliant. Cost is $75, which includes a prime rib dinner and fireworks show. Please dress warmly. You may wish to bring a chair and/or blanket.  LDS 11 Year Old Overnighters

 At the Cascade Pacific Council Boy Scout resident summer camps, LDS troops now have camp options for their youngest Scouts. Eleven-year-old Scouts will enjoy new council-organized LDS 11 Year Old Overnighters which offer Scout skills and activities focused on requirements for Scout, Tenderfoot, and First Class ranks...all the basic Scout skills that every new Scout needs to learn.  For information on this program, including how to register, please Click Here.
