Organization Description:

    Cascade Pacific Council Outreach Programs strive to develop and deliver engaging, research based academic, character, leadership and career focused programs that guide and enable all students to achieve their full potential.  We provide engaging and relevant solutions that positively impact academic performance, social & emotional maturity, character development, and career education for all students.

 

    Learning for Life is an outreach educational program targeting the highest risk youth in our community. We provide after school and in school programs that give young people the opportunity to learn about their community, enhance their self-esteem, learn safety when they are home alone, and come to understand their importance to our community. 

 

Volunteer Description:

A volunteer will assist the Director of Outreach, Outreach Programs Manager, Outreach Programs Coordinator, and the Internship Coordinator with various jobs as assigned.  Opportunities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with at-risk youth in an academic, athletic, and/or outdoor adventure settings
  • Attend career fairs
  • Assist with grant writing research
  • Assist with research
  • Assist in curriculum management
  • Assist with curriculum organization
  • Assist with photography

Required Qualifications:

Must pass a criminal background check

Must possess strong organizational and communication skills

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize

Good time management skills

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with youth

First Aid Certified

CPR Certified
