10th Annual Kerr Contractors Sporting Clays Shootout ~ May 18, 2012

The council's Kerr Contractors Sporting Clays Shootout has evolved into the largest single-day sporting clays event in the western United States. This extraordinary event brings together avid sportsmen, businessmen, novice shooters and Scouting volunteers for a fun day of competition to support local Scouting programs.  Often called "golf with guns", sporting clays is a fast-growing pastime among outdoor sportsmen. The course features 20 shooting stations set up to throw 100 "birds" (clay targets) which simulate both flying and running targets. Teams of five people compete in the event, which is open to both men and women.
