Skiing at Timberline!
If you go to the new Timberline Website
You can now navigate to the special deals they are offering to scouts.
Go to "Play on the Mountain", then click on "Group Planning".
You will then see the Scout Emblem to access the Scout section with contact information for planning your scout day on the mountain.
Timberline has also made a special request.
They would like to replace the Group Photo at the top every week or so with a picture of scouts at Timberline,
so if you have pictures of your scouts at Timberline, or will have some, please send them to:
Bill Johnson, Ski/Snowboard Group Sales
Timberline Lodge
503-349-6505
503-272-3294
Let's see how many different scout units we can showcase on the mountain this year.

New Leader Background Checks!
Leaders who were registered in the Boy Scouts of America prior to April 2003,
will need to submit to a background check.
As dedicated BSA volunteers, you understand the importance of keep our youth safe in the Scouting program.
To ensure Youth Protection, our organization has conducted background checks of new volunteers since April 2003.
Volunteers who have not had a background check will receive a letter explaining the need to consent for a background check
and direct volunteers to a website to begin the process.
The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act mandates the organization have consent for a background check.
Letters with the Web site information are scheduled to be mailed by June 2, 2008.
The Web address is www.bsacbc, and will be active from June 1 until August 1, 2008.
Volunteers who decline the authorization for a background check will lose their BSA Membership.
A new BSA application will be required to renew their membership status, and at that time, a background check will be conducted.
Questions should be directed to your District Director,
Eric Hearn (503) 225-5737 or to the Volunteer Service Center (503) 226-3423.
