Services: The District Chairman is the head volunteer leader of the District. The District Chairman gives leadership to the district committee and is a voting member of the council executive board. This position has responsibility to ensure units are supported through strong programs, membership, finance, and unit service. The Pioneer District serves roughly 1800 families annually through an approximate 65 different units, which are chartered by 43 different community organizations. Background: Dennis is Managing Director of the Sustainable Energy Fund at Aequitas Capital Management based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He has worked in the energy and environmental sectors for 30 years, and lived in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia. He has been active in Oregon Scouting for six years as a Cub Scout Den Leader, and lead BSA training activities at the district, council and regional executive levels. He is married and has three adult children and one current Tenderfoot Scout.
