Services: The District Camping and Outdoor Promotions Chair’s role is to ensure continuing opportunities for units to take advantage of council day and summer camp programs. Also, the goal is to support an enthusiastic program for each unit’s independent long and short-term camping experiences, which contribute to the achievement of Scouting’s aims and goals.Background: Lyle Neville grew up as an active Boy Scout in Southern Oregon. As an adult he has served as Assistant Scoutmaster, Adventure Leader, Den Leader, Blazer Leader, Cubmaster, Leader Trainer, Winter Lodge Director, Merit Badge Councilor, and is currently the Scoutmaster of Troop 132 out of Wilsonville. He and his wife have two boys. Lyle graduated from Portland State University and owns a small cleaning and restoration company. He enjoys racquetball, cycling, skiing, trail running, backpacking, winter camping, and mountaineering.
