Friends of Scouting Campaign

Friends of Scouting is the annual fundraising campaign of the Calapooia District and the Cascade Pacific Council. The Friends of Scouting Campaign volunteers ask Scouting families, businesses and civic-minded citizens to support our
mission of providing the Scouting program to Scouts in Linn County. The money raised is used to support summer camp and office maintenance, staff support, leader training, Roundtable, supplemental unit accident insurance, district
programs, and much more.

Scouting for Food Drive

Scouting for Food was successful once again. We gathered over 3 tons of food for our local food banks.

Did you know?

24.7% of families in Linn County receive food stamp benefits. 42% of school are children are receiving reduced or free lunch in Linn County.

Boy Scout Events

Calapooia District’s Annual Camporee 2013 will be held at Camp Alpine, 25413

Rainbow Creek Rd, Monroe, OR 97456, near Alpine Oregon.

Use Google Maps search for Rambo Reservoir, Oregon 97456.

Or, go South on Hwy 99W for about 17 miles South from downtown Corvallis; turn right onto Alpine Cut Off Rd for .9 miles; continue onto Alpine road for 4.8 miles; turn right onto Rambo Ln and continue .5 miles until you reach the camp.

Patrol competitions featuring fun scouting skills will be held on Saturday 4 May. Troops may camp Friday night or Saturday night. Cost: $10.00 per scout or adult for on-line registration; or $15.00 per individual if registering at the site when you arrive. WEBELOS are welcome and encouraged.

On-line registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday 02 May.
