Commodore Vacant

Commodore: The Commodore is the Chairman of the Board of Sea Scouts (Fleet Staff). The Commodore, working through the Fleet Staff members, is responsible for the direction of all activities and the maintenance of the Sea Scout Base, and the Fleet Boats.   The commodore reports to the Council Executive Board.

Sea Scout District Commissioner: The District Commissioner is the program quality mentor to all ships in the fleet.   The District Commissioner works each ship to strive toward the qualities and qualifications listed in the Annual Journey to Excellence Standards for Sea Scout Ships. The District Commissioner Reports the Council Commissioner.

Executive Director of Sea Scouting: The Executive Director is employed by the Council to provide leadership and support to the Fleet Staff.   Fiscal management, Health and Safety, and general training and guidance to the Fleet Staff Volunteers.   The Executive Director reports to the Council Scout Executive.

Vice Commodore Finance: The VC of Finance is in charge or developing budgets, supervision of Fleet financial accounts, and annual fundraising activities put on by the fleet.   The VC of Finance reports to the Commodore. For Boat Sales go to Boat Sales Link.

Vice Commodore of Training:   The VC of Training is in charge of maintaining training records on all Sea Scout adult volunteers. In addition, the VC of Training puts on training courses to volunteers.   The VC of Training reports to the Commodore.

Vice Commodore of Advancement: The VC of Advancment encourages advancement throughout the fleet. Works with each ship on advancement programs and oversees the Quartermaster process.   The VC of Advancement reports to the Commodore.

 

Vice Commodore of Base Maintenance: Currently Vacant

Vice Commodore of Base Maintenance: The VC of Maintenance leads the facility committee to identify maintenance priorities and secure the workforce to complete the tasks.   The VC of Base Maintenance is also in charge of long range planning for the Sea Base.   The VC of Base maintenance Reports to the Commodore.

 

Vice Commodore of Boats and Gear: Currently Vacant:

Vice Commodore of Boats and Gear: The VC of Boats and Gear work to ensure the safety and working order of all watercraft in Sea Scouting.   Training and inspection of all ships, boats and watercraft is done on a regular basis. The VC of Boads and Gear reports to the Commodore.

 

Vice Commodore of Marketing and Recruitment: Currently Vacant:

Vice Commodore of Marketing and Recruitment: The VC of Marketing and Recruitment works with ships to ensure a productive planning and execution of new member recruitment campaigns. In addition, works with the fleet staff to promote and execute positive public image efforts.
