WHAT IS A LOCK-IN? It is an indoor, overnight event with: Physical Skills, Crafts, Games, Displays, Movies, Archery, Demonstrations, Pizza, Snacks, BB Guns, and Fun!!
WHO CAN COME? Any Cub Scout in Benton, Calapooia or other outlying Districts; accompanied by a Parent or adult chaperone. A Tiger Cub Partner must accompany each Tiger Cub. Cub Scouts & Webelos must meet the 1:4 ratio of Chaperones to Cubs. Non Cub Scout siblings cannot attend due to insurance regulations. Boy Scouts cannot attend as a participant or spend the night. We encourage all Boy Scouts and Troops to provide a booth activity for the Lock-In.
WHAT DOES IT COST? $7.00, per person if you pre-register by January 8, 2005. All participants must include a Lock-In medical/registration form with the fee to qualify for pre-registration. After January 8th, 2005, or at the door, the cost goes up to $12.00 per person. Each paid participant will receive a '2005 Lock-In' patch. Yes, Chaperones must pay also, because they get to do all the fun stuff along with the Scouts. Fees are not refundable but they are transferable.
HOW DO I REGISTER? Each Pack should register as a unit. This will make your night in the Jungle go smoother. Please contact your Pack leaders for a registration form starting in December 2004 and let them know you are interested in attending the Lock-In. Unit Reservation and Participant medical/registration forms will be made available to all Packs in Benton and Calapooia Districts at their December Roundtable meeting. Other Units or Districts may contact Jeff or Susan Thompson at the address or phone number below, for registration information.
