How do I pay for Jamboree?
Many parents feel that they can't afford to send their son to the National Jamboree because of cost. Attending a National Scout Jamboree is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most Scouts. Keep in mind that this is the first time at the Summit. Each Jamboree, Scouts have earned their ENTIRE way by fund raising. Early on, Scouts can raise money on their own. Many of the Jamboree Troops will also have fund raising opportunities as well.
Click on the Fund Raising link to view just some of the ways that Scouts are earning money to pay their way to Jamboree. There will also be a SCRIP opportunity as well. Details of that program will be announced at a later date.
I paid my initial deposit, how can I make payments?
You can click here to make a Jamboree Payment. If you have any questions or can't remember your sign-on information please contact the council office.
Can I go to the Jamboree with my son?
Unlike your normal troop campouts the Jamboree is restricted to 4 adults and 36 youth. The adult selection process will happen this year and in fact your Jamboree leaders will be training as soon as they are picked. If you know a scout leader that is interested please have them sign up.
Are there scholarships available to help with the cost of the Jamboree?
The 2013 National Jamboree is offering a scholarship. Download the form here.
