[click an image to view photo show] Gilbert Ranch is located at Butte Creek Scout Ranch near Scotts Mills, Oregon. It is a working horse ranch where, when each camper steps onto main street, she lays eyes on the old western town of Butte Creek, and finds it easy to imagine herself as part of the old west. Camp Sessions are 3 days / 2 nights. Campers and parents stay in large two-person platform tents in campsites identified by different "brands" such as Setting Sun, Lazy B, Yellow Rose, Happy River, Circle T, 2 of Hearts, Flying J and Rocking K. Meals are served family-style in a large full service dining hall. Many, many parents of Webelos attending Gilbert Ranch have said "it'd be wonderful if I could bring my daughter to Gilbert Ranch. She'd love it!." Girls' Camp features everything the Webelos Scouts get to do...now girls can have the same fantastic summer experience! Whether it is riding horses, panning for gold, or learning to rope a steer, girls from ages 8 to13 will find the real cowgirl inside them!
