Scounting Background

In 1955 I joined Cub Scouts in Carmel, California. In 1956-8, I advanced through WEBELOS in Oxford, Mississippi, . In 1958-9 my troop was in Garden Grove, California. In 1959-61, I turned fourteen on the day I received my Eagle Badge and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow in Kodiak, Alaska. . In 1961-64 I added two palms continuing my activity in scouts and Order of the Arrow also leading a Scout Drum and Bugle Corps. In 1964-66, I served as an Assistant Scoutmaster under the outstanding leadership of Brent Nyden of Leading Floral in Corvallis, Oregon..

Disability retired, I have worked as ADP Coordinator and Budget Officer for the U of O, Asst. Business Manager for Oregon College of Education, and Supervisor of Accounting for Higher Ed.

Very active in the music community I play trumpet and clarinet and have been active in four bands/orchestras in Albany and now Salem. I have also helped out in the Middle School Band Programs in Albany. I sign in at the schools as "Band Aid".
