Mud Mayhem (formally known as Mud Cubs) is a great time for everyone. All Scouts and their families are invited to enjoy a day of just being a kid by getting muddy on our exclusive obstacle course. This is a fun-filled day where you have the chance to get as dirty and muddy as possible while completing a specially designed course.
SAVE THE DATE: SEPTEMBER 13, 2014
WE'VE GROWN! MUD MAYHEM WILL BE BIGGER AND BETTER THAN LAST YEAR, SO COME PREPARED FOR EVEN MORE FUN!
"A Scout is Clean but not afraid to get dirty!"-Mike Rowe, Dirty Jobs & Eagle Scout
Families are encouraged to participate with their Cub Scouts. Siblings and parents may sign up to participate (4 and under are free). Each obstacle will present a new challenge to the participant. You will have to crawl over and through the mud, some obstacles will require you to dig in the mud, and others will have you playing in it. If you are done in the mud and need to clean off, stay around and play on the slip 'n' slide, walk through the Cub Car Wash, or use the designated shower areas to hose off.
Participants should plan to wear an old set of clothes and shoes for this event; shoes are required to participate. It is also suggested to bring an extra set of clothes, an old towel, and a plastic bag for the muddy clothes. The trading post will also be open; souvenir shirts and other goodies will be available for purchase.
Participant fee is $10.00 (5 years old and up) if registered online before September 5th. Fee increases to $20.00 after September 5th. It is suggested to register online, as slots can fill up quickly.
Registration will be set up in heats every hour with groups of 25 participants every 10 minutes (six groups per hour). The first group will begin at 9:00am, the second at 9:10am, and so on. You must check in at least 30 minutes prior to your time slot. There will be non-muddy activities to do on the shooting ranges while you wait for your heat. Each heat is assigned a color and a name (see registration page). Note: Sign up for one time slot only please. All participants will get to take part in the full course. The heats are set up to lessen the back log at some particular stations.
Mud Mayhem will be at a new location this year. Details will be sent out later about the location and how to get there.
